A brand new local radio station for Cirencester launches on Saturday 1st October at 10 am. Cirencester Radio is an online local radio station broadcasting to Cirencester and the surrounding area.
The team are committed to supporting local businesses and the local economy – giving coverage to the not-for-profit groups, organisations and events in and around Cirencester – being more than just a radio station that plays great music.
With studios in the centre of town – Cirencester Radio will be at the very heart of the action.
The station will play a broad range of great music from the past five decades, spliced with the occasional song you haven’t heard for a long time, with a sense of ‘feel good’ liberally sprinkled across everything they do.
There will also be a range of specialist programmes presented by the Cirencester community. Programmes range from Country to Jazz through to Vintage and Stories.
The station works with a range of volunteers – some of whom have over 15 years of professional radio experience and work with stations including – BBC Local Radio.
The station will provide local news and information in The Way It Is, bringing the stories that matter to people locally. They will also be attending local events.
Test transmissions begin on Monday 26th September, with the launch on Saturday 1st October at 10 am. You can listen to Cirencester Radio on their website www.CirencesterRadio.co.uk, on your Smart Speakers and Mobile/Tablet devices.
