Gloucestershire’s Country Matters is an interview series by The Countryside Charity Gloucestershire. Finding out more about the countryside from people who really make a difference to Gloucestershire.

Episode 1 – Martin Hayes, Orchard Expert

An interview with Tim Andrews, County Director of CPRE Gloucestershire, and Martin Hayes. Martin is an expert orchardist and a key member of the Gloucestershire Orchard Trust. The interview explores why orchards are special to Martin and Gloucestershire, and the work Martin does to reverse their decline. Around 75% of orchards have been lost in Gloucestershire in the last 50 years. The interview was filmed in Longney, near Gloucester at an orchard owned by the Gloucestershire Orchard Trust.

Episode 2 – Elisabeth Skinner MBE

An Interview with Elisabeth Skinner MBE and Tim Andrews, County Director of CPRE Gloucestershire. Elisabeth is Chair of CPRE Gloucestershire’s Stroud District Committee. For the last 30 years, she has raised the standards in parish, town and community councils through her development of training. She revised and trained a national team to deliver the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification and was awarded an MBE for her work in the New Year Honours List in 2018.
